Poem
A Journey Through Maka Sica
A lone Warrior riding through Maka Sica
Looking from side to side
Weary from the long ride
Contending with the heat
Looking up to the pinnacles of red earth
That reach up to the sky.
An eagle soaring and swooping down.
Sharp eyes searching for prey on the ground.
Three feathers gently floating down
The Warrior’s blessings are from above
Courage, Strength, and Wisdom sent with love.
A harsh bleak beauty here in Maka Sica
Lone Warrior weary from the ride
Renewed, revived, restored, and alive.
A Warrior’s journey through Maka Sica.
